You Magazine celebrates plant-to-plate eating with a series on Great Dixter’s new book
For two weekend’s running, You Magazine has sung the praises of Grow Fruit and Vegetables in Pots by Great Dixter’s head gardener, Aaron Bertelsen. In both eight page features, You Magazine shares some of Aaron’s best tips and tricks for creating vegetable gardens in a variety of urban spaces. This mini-series also features an author interview and 15 delicious recipes lifted directly from the pages of the book, including the Basil Pavola, Stuffed Squash with Spiced Mince and Beetroot Hummus. And in case you missed it, both pieces were published in the Mail Online.
In his interview with You Magazine’s Polly Bunbar, Bertelsen encourages budding gardeners to start small: ‘Think about what you’re going to use in the kitchen; that’s where you’ll get the pleasure. Get some pots and the area ready for planting in March. You don’t have to start on a large scale […] but once you’ve grown something you love, you’ll be surprised at how adventurous you’ll become.”
Released on 12 February 2020, Grow Fruit and Vegetables in Pots provides expert guidance on caring for container crops, growing tips and advice on individual varieties, alongside over 50 delicious recipes that make the most of your harvest and use just a handful of freshly grown ingredients. We’re thrilled at how much You Magazine loves the book, and pleased to see the Daily Mail championing seasonal, plant-to-plate eating!
